When there is a pride of ownership, it’s only natural that some folks enjoy stepping up to do volunteer projects around the HOA. My husband, Dennis Eichelberger, is a mostly willing participant as I’m always volunteering him! He grew up as a martial artist in the Dojo where his father was a black belt instructor and I grew up in the shadow of my father who was a school teacher, coach and swim pool manager in my small home town. We both participated in projects that helped maintain the facilities that our fathers were proud of.
So, if you see a white haired guy with a big white mustache, know that something good is afoot. This last year Dennis repaired the stone work on the archways over the pond road way, helped cut down and removed dead shrubs and trees in the beds in the common areas, installed all the plumbing fixtures in the bathrooms at the Sport Courts, and helped build and install the new tennis court back board. Not only does he enjoy staying busy, even though he has been working full time from home since the Covid 19 shut down in March, it saves the HOA a lot of money! The funds for the materials for the tennis court back board were supplied by Coach Bob Reed and resident Terry Stimac. Thank you so much for the idea and the financial support.
If any one is interested in helping out with future projects, just let me know by emailing me at evwhoa@gmail.com.
Thank you,
Lori Eichelberger
